About me...

My journey into Pilates did not begin as a career path. It began as a search for relief.

In my early twenties, I struggled with debilitating low back pain brought on by long hours at a desk and the emotional stress of caregiving for my mother. Despite regular chiropractic care and massage therapy, I kept relapsing. I felt frustrated, discouraged, and uncertain about my future — until I discovered Pilates.

What started as cautious mat sessions quickly became something much deeper. Through consistent practice, I began to feel stronger, more connected, and more at home in my body. Pilates didn’t just manage my pain — it taught me how to move, breathe, and heal from the inside out. Over time, I no longer relied on constant manual therapies. My body had learned resilience through my consistent Pilates practice.

Shortly after beginning my practice, my mother was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. During that season of caregiving, grief, and exhaustion, Pilates became my anchor. It was the space where I could regulate my nervous system, steady my breath, and gather the strength to keep going. That experience transformed my appreciation for the method and ultimately led me to pursue full certification in 2009.

In 2010, I moved from Spain to Long Beach, California after falling in love with my husband, Jon. In 2012, I opened Vero Pilates in Belmont Heights — a dream rooted in sharing the profound impact this work had on my own life. That same year, I lost my mother.

Life continued to bring both beautiful milestones and unimaginable challenges. After welcoming our son, Devon, I navigated a traumatic birth and postpartum depression. Soon after, Jon was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer at just 37. Through surgeries, chemotherapy, profound loss, and later a recurrence that ultimately took his life in 2024, Pilates remained my constant.

Movement has never been optional for me. It is how I process stress. It is how I reconnect to myself. It is how I keep moving forward when circumstances feel impossible.

Today, as a mother and studio owner, I continue to practice what I teach: that Pilates is not about perfection or performance — it is about building resilience. It is about learning to breathe through discomfort, finding stability in uncertainty, and strengthening both body and mind in a sustainable way.

Here in my sunny home studio in Bend, my mission is simple: to help you cultivate that same resilience. Not just stronger muscles, but stronger foundations. Not just better posture, but deeper confidence. Not just a workout, but a lifelong practice that supports you through every season of life.

During my almost two decades of experience as a Pilates instructor, I have found that there can be a lot of confusion around what to expect in a Pilates session. Will I have to stand on the Reformer? Will I be doing inversions in my first session? Thankfully the answer is, no. I will  take the time to teach you the method from its foundations up. We will learn mat and reformer exercises that will in time lead to a flow. And we will work with the tower and chair to find unique exercises to support you reaching your movement goals.

I've also had many clients who initially didn't think Pilates was for them. But guess what?! It's for everyone! You included.

I strive to make the Pilates Method accessible for every body. I will partner with you to better understand what your body's current limitations are, what goals you have, and creating a realistic roadmap to get you there.

My goal is that you walk away from every session feeling stronger, more grounded, and balanced inside and out.
